For singer/songwriter Christopher Scott, a passion for music that began at age five training as a classical pianist has culminated in obsessive devotion. It doesn't end with piano, though. Christopher taught himself to read and play 15 other instruments and sings with a unique style that ranges from pensive to powerful. His pop/rock songs feature melodies that hit between the lungs and a raw authenticity drawn from tears, triumph, struggle and experience.
As the only male of 3 finalists in the VO5/Conde Nast "Red Hot Rising Stars" competition, Christopher has been featured in Glamour, Allure, Teen Vogue, Jane, Lucky, and Self--magazines with over 26 million readers! With past "Rising Stars" including Tyler Hilton and Natasha Bedingfield, it's easy to see Christopher is in good company.
The Texas native came to California 3 years ago to pursue music full-time, honing his craft at local coffee shops and cafes. Since then, he has graduated to performing at such notable SoCal venues as House of Blues, The Mint, The Roxy, and Room5, garnering radio play and glowing reviews:
"...memorable hooks, well-crafted lyrics with heart and soul."
"...all the vocal ability needed to make it."
"...'Exit Wounded' is a powerhouse!"
Currently, Christopher Scott is busy promoting his self-titled, self-produced debut album, on which he plays every instrument. Get the new album and the latest info on Christopher and his music at www.christopherscott.net.
